Abstract
Statements on the scientific name of the European mouflon and the wild goat. Because of the lasting uncertainty on the correct scientific name of the European mouflon and of the wild goat, and invalidity of certain recent solutions to the problem, light is shed on the subject on the basis of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature and of some recent opinions of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature.
